| Lyrics: | 1st verse:]
Oh my honey do come and hurry to the Zoo
Where the funny little monkeys
are
If you want to laugh for an hour and a half
Better hurry up and take a car
Come
and see them dance that peculiar little prance
You'll be crazy over every bar
Come and see
them do that monkey doodle doo
[chorus:]
Watch those monkeys monkey doodle
All
around, all around, all around
Watch those monks go off their noodle
As they bound
'round
Look, look, look, look
Look at the funny little monkeys in the cage
Eating
peanuts while they're monkey doodeling
Watch those monkeys throw their shoulders
In the
air, in the air, in the air
See them snap their claws and holler it's a bear there
See
that monkey on that bench
Lead the band with a monkey wrench
While the rest are
dancing
That monkey doodle doo
[2nd verse:]
Honey hear that pure little monkey
overture
Coming from the little monkey band
Can't you see the tails winding all around the
rails
Hear the leader of them all command
Listen to his moan in a language of his
own
"Take your monkey ladies by the hand
Take your partners for that monkey doodle doo |
